S.3 is a semi-spherical object that contains a multiple seat. It has been conceived as a modular element: three shells, the cushion and two padded frames rotate one inside the other suiting different “comforts”. It is an armchair with a pouf, but also a chaise-longue and a rolling chair. The different utilizations this object adapts to have not been developed starting from an idea of multi-functionality, but are the result of a research that had as the starting point the concept of comfort, that, as definition, cannot be bound to a fixed position of rigid parameters. S.3 is a ‘nest’ that holds in many different ways.
